@jeremycherfas Indeed. Observing lead choices, discards and simple card-counting make it a thoroughly enjoyable game, even when holding an unredeemable Yarborough. Of course, a nice 2NT or 2C opener is always preferable.
@blumenkraft I found tag muting in Apero, so I've blacklisted spider, spiders, arachnophobe & arachnophobes. Just need to see if ChimPnut will also oblige. 😀 Might have to add arachnid(s), too, I guess.
@jeremycherfas I'm the same, I don't pay attention in online games. I love it because there's not so much pure luck involved and even defending can be rewarding. My Dad was very good, but then he was a maths brainiac. I do miss playing.
@jws Never played Euchre. Started out with a game similar to Oh Hell, taught to us by a South African friend. Bridge also required either beer, or a bottle of Madeira. After my brother left home my best friend joined us. Happy memories.
@jws I play contract Bridge (never duplicate - too gutless with my slam bidding). Only really played with family and I'm not all that good. We played Acol, but with my Dad's occasional improvised random bids - which always worked out well.
@Andrew I believe you do. My two nephews play, one on Xbox, the other on PS4. They have different servers for the two platforms. Not sure if PC is another, although I think it is linked to PS4. I forget, decided to stick with Guild Wars 2.
