Out of curiosity, how often do y'all replace your glasses?
@Wife About every 3 years, I’d guess — longer, historically, if my prescription hasn’t changed much. That said, I have uncharacteristically gotten new glasses the last two years in a row.
@Wife Not often enough, I fear. Every two years. But the expense! I’m at an age where I need progressive lenses, but I can’t believe they actually cost more to grind.
@Wife my eyes seem to be getting better with age as far as clarity goes, but more and more light sensitive. If I’d hazard a guess, probably every two to three years for checkups and a deeper shade of soul.. I mean tinted specs.
I'm replacing mine after two, and it seems quick to me. They've gotten pretty scuffed though so I'm not sorry to get new ones. @muncman @jeremycherfas @skematica
Every 3-4 years. Although I usually have 3 pairs (regular, backup, and sunglasses)
@hutattedonmyarm My sunglasses are still pretty pristine, so I'm not replacing them this time around. I tend to forget that I have them, and just squit through the sun.
@Wife I've only had glasses since 2010 and replaced them once so far. My sunglasses just got new glasses (eyesight got worse), so did my backup pair. For the main pair I got new glasses + frame
@Wife My girlfriend replaces hers every 2-3 years
@Wife But the health insurance only pays every 3 years she told me - otherwise she would change more often I guess
@lechindianer yeah, I'm coming to the conclusion that that's pretty much average.
