As I decided to buy a new MBA not an older one, I have to save a bit more or sell more of old PC-(s)crap I hoarded. In the meantime I tried to make my MB'06 faster with an SSD. It works, but it seems, that I should do some partition aligning. How? Why?
Then he sends me the Talos II user guide to make it even worse :-) I bought my PM G5 in '09 for 10% of the original price and I used it until 2018. I hope to repeat the scenario with Talos one day, until then I have to swallow the bitter pill and go MBAir.
Just when I'm perfectly fine with buying a new MB Air and replacing desktop with a laptop for most tasks, I read @doctorlinguist and his http://tenfourfox.blogspot.cz/2018/01/why-my-next-laptop-isnt-gonna-be-mac.html
