    Nice macOS tip when watching youtube videos and you want to view it picture-in-picture: double right click to get the popup menu where the PiP option is.

    @ludolphus There's also a Safari extension [github.com] which works for a few other sites too!

    @hutattedonmyarm sound good! thought it was sort of automagically done by macOS, apparently not.

    @ludolphus It is, if the websites uses the standard HTML5 video palyer, or has implemented it with apple's javascript framework. For custom video players which haven't been updated safari won't touch it

    @hutattedonmyarm @ludolphus Safari ended traditional extension use with their latest version by the way.

    @joe @ludolphus I know! "Luckily" the extension situation on Safari has never been that good, so I didn't really lose any. Had uBlock Origin running (which has been replaced by native content blockers),

    @joe @ludolphus and everything else I use on other platforms was either not available for Safari to begin with, or a native extension before that

    @hutattedonmyarm same here, Ghostery and uBlock Origin have a warning by Safari that the extension will slow down web browsing. Have uBlock still enabled and it doesn't seem to slow down anything // @joe

      @ludolphus just seems to be a bogus claim by Apple to get you using their native Safari add-ons. @hutattedonmyarm @joe

      @thedoctor I even hated it when they started to require developer signed extensions and merged that into their developer program @joe @ludolphus

      @thedoctor sounds like it. And probably just indicates an unsigned extension (speculating here), more like a warning @joe @hutattedonmyarm

      @thedoctor @hutattedonmyarm @ludolphus You mean content blockers.

      @joe content blockers are fine. I think he’s talking about extensions tied to App Store apps @ludolphus @thedoctor
