@33MHz That verbiage is in a comment. Context is author discontinued using Twitter, but soon resumed posting "New post!" tweets, because so many people who use Twitter as a really crummy RSS feed reader to track new posts on a source cried out.
@33MHz No, they're talking actual RSS as consumed by Feedly and NewsBlur and such. "I switched from finding and reading new content published by sources I track via Twitter to via RSS feed" would probably be the longhand.
@jws yeah, but they have a cultural meaning to what that is, not just "the technology of RSS", but "as a feed of notifications for my blog posts". To me, they're talking about RSS readers as a convention, not RSS the protocol.
@jws@33MHz Twitter and FB as marketing or megaphone is definitely a thing for me. There have been some very interesting developments in indieweb feed readers that allow easy interaction with items in the feed. Not tried yet, but will
