I just found out about linux copy-paste with mouse buffer. It's independent from copy-paste with Ctrl+C Ctrl+V.
Middle-mouse-button click pastes whatever text was last selected. #freeTip
I need a better mouse at work, though; this middle button is hard to click.
@33MHz You could always map left+right to be the middle. That's the way I did it back in the day.
@thrrgilag ah, hm. That could be fine. I'm not pumped about this mouse, though. :)
@33MHz I miss this so much on macOS.
@dasdom did it have that functionality previously, or just wish it added it?
@33MHz It would fit to that platform. But I loved it on Linux and used it all the time.
@dasdom ah well. I'm just beginning to love it! haha.
For Windows there were always little tools for fixing things like this, like katmouse [ehiti.de] for scrolling.
@dasdom humph. Looks like no native way. https://superuser.com/questions/87470/copy-on-select-paste-on-middle-click-on-mac-os-x
@33MHz Yes, but it also wouldn’t fit to the platform. I even have no mouse anymore.
@dasdom oh oh - I see!
