Remember RealAudio? RealPlayer? I just came across a ".ram" file Online.
VLC tries to open for it, but nothing happens. I wonder if anything can play them anymore?

And where was this .ram file at? a gopher:// site?
@33MHz Oh wow, it’s been quite some time since I ran across one of those files. I think, but I’m not sure, that mplayer could handle those.
@33MHz last time I needed to use it (forgot why) Avast! flagged the site as malicious.
@mikehoss it's definitely old. Probably the site isn't streaming anymore? I'll look into it once I'm on my desktop. @mandy
@33MHz When I used Windows 2000, RealPlayer was my main player mostly.
@mandy @33MHz potplayer would work if you are on Windows. A codec pack such as CCCP or K-Lite Codec Pack will also work.
